George I

King George I was a King of Great Britain.

In 1714, after the death of Anne, the last of the Stuart monarchs, (AUDIO: Doctor Who and the Pirates) the British Royal Family were replaced by the Hanoverian German Georges. By 1746, the second of these Georges, George II, had succeeded to the throne. (PROSE: The Highlanders)
