This was the final televised appearance of the Brigadier before [[Nicholas Courtney]] died in 2011. [[Gita Chandra]] is working late on a special floral commission. The client turns out to be [[Wormwood (Invasion of the Bane)|Mrs Wormwood]]. She paralyses Gita, certain the disappearance of [[Rani Chandra|Rani's]] mum will lure [[Sarah Jane Smith]] to the case. At the same time, [[Luke Smith|Luke]] has been having nightmares about Mrs Wormwood.

Rani realises her mum has vanished. Sarah Jane and Luke go to the Chandras' house and talk to her and [[Haresh Chandra|Haresh]] about what happened. Rani suspects it could be aliens at work, but Sarah Jane says that it is not always aliens. People go missing all the time and come home safe.


Soon after Rani left banging on [[Sarah Jane]]'s door in anger with the dissapernce of her mum. Sarah Jane and luke go over to rani and talk to her and harash about what happened and said that there was flowers on the floor showinf there was need for struggle. rani belevies that it could be aliens at work but Sarah Jane feels that its not always aliens that people go missing all the time and come home safe.
Sarah Jane, Luke and [[Clyde Langer|Clyde]] head to Gita's shop, [[Bloomin' Lovely]], to investigate while Sarah Jane uses her [[scanner watch]] to search for alien traces. Luke and Clyde find a cheque signed by Mrs Wormwood. When [[Mr Smith]] scans it, there is a hidden code which offers clues to Mrs Wormwood's location. Sarah Jane and Rani go to rescue Gita, discussing the [[Bane (Invasion of the Bane)|Bane]] and [[Bubble Shock]] on the way.


Sarah Jane, Luke and now clyde who met up with go to rani's mum shop Blooming lovely and starts to investigate while Sarah Jane uses her [[Scanner watch]] to find alien which there is but she can't detect which specie, as luke and clyde look around luke finds a check which was signed by [[Mrs Wormwood]]. Sarah Jane, Luke and Clyde go to see [[Mr Smith]] to get the check scanned and he finds that there is a code which was hidden and it gives details to were [[Mrs Wormwood]] is. Soon they were interumpted by rani who wants to go and get her mum back so sarah jane accepts. With just Sarah Jane and Rani going as they drive up Sarah Jane explains that it was the [[Bane]] that created [[Bubble Shock]] leaving rani saying it was vile and sarah jane saying you were the 2%.
They find Gita in a trance, unresponsive, and meet up with Mrs Wormwood. The former Bane operative explains she took the blame for her species' failed attempt at invading the Earth and has been exiled from her people and world. The Bane will eat her alive if they catch her.


As they both entered they both find gita standing stile and not moveing which [[Mrs Wormwood]] did by putting her in trans. [[Mrs Wormwood simple says to [[Sarah Jane]] that she needs her help soon after they were interupted by The former Bane operative explains that she took the blame for her species' failed attempt at invading the Earth ([[SJA]]:''[[Invasion of the Bane]]''), and has been exiled from her people and world.
When the Bane attack, Mrs Wormwood uses her [[phonic disruptor]] on them. It emits sound which penetrates their ears and stops them in their tracks. The Bane grab Sarah Jane by the leg, but Mrs Wormwood saves her, attacking the Bane with a metal pole. The three head back to [[Bannerman Road]], shocking Luke when he opens the door.


When the [[Bane]] attack, [[Mrs Wormwood]] uses her [[Sonic disruptor]] to stop them, giving out sound which penetrates their ears and stops them in their tracks. But as they run out one of the bane grab Sarah Jane leg and yanks her off her feet, dragging her backwards down the corridor. Miss Wormwood pics up long peice of metal and hits the bane's tentacal and uses her sonic disruptor again. She stops the alien, and gives her hand out to Sarah Jane who is sprawled out on her back on the floor, but Sarah simply replies "''I am not past my sell by date yet''."
In the attic, Mr Smith does a bio-analysis on Mrs Wormwood, confirming she is Bane. Mr Smith asks if having her in the attic is a good idea. Sarah Jane asks Mr Smith to put a containment field around her if she causes trouble. Mrs Wormwood says that an ancient immortal, [[Horath]], tried to take over the galaxy, but was defeated three thousand years ago. Unable to destroy him, Horath's captors separated his body and [[consciousness]] and placed them at opposite ends of the galaxy. Mrs Wormwood says the Bane have found Horath's consciousness, and are trying to find his body, which is, like so many other things of galactic importance, on [[Earth]]. Once united, the Bane will be able to conquer the galaxy. The only clue to the body's location is in the [[Tunguska Scroll]], kept in [[UNIT]]'s [[Black Archive facility (Enemy of the Bane)|Black Archive facility]], a secure storehouse of alien artefacts.


When they go to the attic gita was still in a trance so mrs wormwood slapped her face and got out of it. When luke opened the door he was shocked to find [[Mrs Wormwood]] at the door sarah jane says that ''she needs her help'' from what she said.

Sarah Jane visits her old friend, [[retire]]d Brigadier Sir [[Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart]], to get his help to enter the Archive. Sarah Jane and Rani obtain the Tunguska Scroll. UNIT personnel stop Sarah Jane, but she uses her [[sonic lipstick]] and escapes with Rani and the Brigadier. Meanwhile Luke talks to Mrs Wormwood. When the Bane attack the house, he releases her from the force field so that the Bane cannot catch her. She is about to escape when a Bane tries to eat her. She tries to use her phonic disruptor but being in the containment field has drained its power. At that moment, [[Sontaran]] Commander [[Kaagh]] shoots the Bane and reveals himself as her agent. She asks after the Consciousness of Horath and he replies that he has hidden it. She relishes the thought of her and Kaagh getting their long-awaited revenge on Sarah Jane and her friends.

Soon after she goes on why she really is here and talks about horath the dark empire leaving sarah jane knowing nothing about him and ask [[Mr Smith]] about him and says ''the dark empire was a period of trical galactic rule by a mysteuos and roprtally imortal alien named horath who crucshed civilasion of all but the most primative planets'' after that [[Mrs Wormwood]] is imprest by sarah janes hole in the wall and that ''Horath could be defeated but never killed so his body and his consision was divided and they hidden in opsite sides of the galaxy'' and that the bane have found the conssion and a agent is bring it to earth. The reason why [[Mrs Wormwood]] needed help is to find the body then [[Mr Smith]] saying that ''there is a relic the tunguska scroll which tells the story of horath and his final resting place'' and that its at the [[Black Archive]] which is the [[UNIT]] vaults stuff that shoulded exsits but does. Mr Smith puts Mrs Wormwood in containment feild and Sarah Jand, luke, rani and clyde go downstairs the four decuss that luke should go with them to [[UNIT]] cause they could ask questions about him so clyde stays with him and [[Sarah Jane]] and rani go to a old friend.

Luke and Clyde are surrounded by Bane. Clyde picks up a hose and soaks the Bane, trying to force them back. Mrs Wormwood arrives and uses her phonic disruptor (which has been recharged by Kaagh) to blow up the Bane, leaving goo on Luke and Clyde. Sarah Jane arrives with Rani and the Brigadier. To prevent UNIT finding them, Sarah Jane, Luke, Clyde, Rani, the Brigadier and Mrs Wormwood all hide in Gita's flower shop. Mrs Wormwood asks Sarah Jane for the scroll but she refuses. Commander Kaagh arrives and grabs Sarah Jane's sonic lipstick, destroying it. He demands the scroll and threatens the youngsters. Sarah Jane gives the scroll to Mrs Wormwood. Mrs Wormwood forces Luke to go with her and Commander Kaagh.


[[Major Kilburne]] goes to the [[Brigadier]] to de-brief him on his mission in peri. the brig at the age he is at and the fact he is retired he says the he doesn't do missions and doesn't do de-briefings. The Mayor had to do this the fact he is still conenected to [[UNIT]]. The brig gets raged about [[UNIT]] that they have changed so much and that it was deffernt in his days. Talking about daleks, cyberman, zygons and autons that it doesn't get more hostily than them. soon after sarah jane arrives and sayd to the brig that she needs to brake into the [[Black Archive]]. The brig, Sarah Jane and rani go to the [[Black Archive]] and get in, the brig gives sarah jane a card to get in, they both look around and find the door to the tunguska scroll and a camera watching them and run ro get them and they start to run.  
Mrs Wormwood, Kaagh and Luke arrive at a factory where Kaagh has hidden his space pod. He places the Consciousness of Horath in the scroll. Mrs Wormwood says that Luke could be the ruler of the galaxy as her son. Luke grabs the scroll and runs. Kaagh chases him. Just as Kaagh is about to shoot Luke, Mrs Wormwood, in her Bane form, jumps in front of Kaagh and transforms back to human. She uses her phonic disruptor again.


Back at banneraman road the bane attack so luke sets [[Mrs Wormwood]] free cause they were gona eat her, they go to the garden with them attacing the front and when they are at the garen another one attacks luke and clyde go back and mrs wormwood trys to attack them with her sonice devices which has lost power then as luke and clyde go to the front they are surrounded by [[Bane]]. As sarah jane and rani about to leave they are stopedd by kilbourne and the unit soilders and told to surrender but sarah jane uses her sonic liptick on ear peice producing sound in ther ears making them fall to the ground and they escaped. Just as a bane was about to eat [[Mrs Wormwood]] [[Kaagh]] shots and kills the bane finding out that there both working together.

Meanwhile, the others go to Sarah Jane's house to speak to Mr Smith, to try to find the whereabouts of Luke, Mrs Wormwood and Kaagh. [[Cal Kilburne|Major Kilburne]] tries to stop them, revealing himself as a Bane agent. The Brigadier uses a hidden gun in his cane to stun the Major. They borrow Gita's van and go after their friends.

Mrs Wormwood, Luke and Kaagh arrive at a stone circle and find a force field around it. Only humans can enter. Mrs Wormwood forces Luke to insert the scroll. When he does, the stone circle opens. It's a portal which leads to Horath. Mrs Wormwood uses her sonic device again and Kaagh drops to the ground.
 
Sarah Jane arrives. Mrs Wormwood tries to convince Luke to go with her, saying she is his mother. Luke says his real mum is Sarah Jane. Clyde, meanwhile, walks over to Kaagh to check if he's hurt. Kaagh asks Clyde to help him regain his honour. Mrs Wormwood is upset but convinces herself that the best way to heal her broken heart is to kill Sarah Jane's gang. However, as she prepares to do so, Kaagh pushes her into the portal. It explodes, trapping them in another dimension, leaving Luke feeling a bit sorry for Mrs Wormwood. Sarah Jane reveals she has another sonic lipstick and destroys the scroll. She then reflects on how amazing the universe can be, as well as her own corner of it, as she bids goodbye to the Brigadier. She asserts that aliens will always visit Earth as it's a wonderful place to be.


With Luke and Clyde surrounded by Bane Clyde picks up a hose and soaks the Bane trying to force them back. Mrs Wormwood arrives and uses her sonic disrupter and blows up the Bane leaving creamy goo on Luke and Clyde. Sarah Jane arrives with Rani and [[The Brigadier]]. So that UNIT cannot find them, Sarah Jane, Luke, Clyde, Rani, the Brigadier and Mrs Wormwood all hide in Gita's Flower shop. Mrs Wormwood asks Sarah Jane for the Scroll but she refuses. Commander Kaagh arrives and grabs Sarah Jane Sonic Lipstick and destroys it then he forces Sarah Jane to give up Scroll by threatening Luke, Clyde and Rani. After the threat Sarah Jane gives the scroll to [[Mrs Wormwood]], With the scroll in the hands of Mrs Wormwood she forces Luke to go with her and Commander Kaagh.

Enemy of the Bane was the sixth and final serial of series 2 of The Sarah Jane Adventures. It was written by Phil Ford and directed by Graeme Harper. It included the return of villains Mrs Wormwood and Kaagh, and also introduced the Black Archive, a collection of very dangerous alien technology that UNIT guards with maximum secrecy and security.

Most notable was the surprising return of another character with a long history in the Doctor Who series: the Brigadier. Lethbridge-Stewart had not appeared on television since the Doctor Who story Dimensions in Time in 1993. This was the final televised appearance of the Brigadier before Nicholas Courtney died in 2011. His character was then retired through his passing away during the events of The Wedding of River Song [+]Loading...["The Wedding of River Song (TV story)"].

Gita Chandra is kidnapped by Mrs Wormwood. This turns out to be a snare for Sarah Jane. Mrs Wormwood has joined forces with another of Sarah Jane's enemies, Kaagh. As they prepare to settle old scores, Sarah Jane turns to an old friend.

Mrs Wormwood knocks Gita out cold with her phonic disruptor.

Gita Chandra is working late on a special floral commission. The client turns out to be Mrs Wormwood. She paralyses Gita, certain the disappearance of Rani's mum will lure Sarah Jane Smith to the case. At the same time, Luke has been having nightmares about Mrs Wormwood.

Rani realises her mum has vanished. Sarah Jane and Luke go to the Chandras' house and talk to her and Haresh about what happened. Rani suspects it could be aliens at work, but Sarah Jane says that it is not always aliens. People go missing all the time and come home safe.

Sarah Jane, Luke and Clyde head to Gita's shop, Bloomin' Lovely, to investigate while Sarah Jane uses her scanner watch to search for alien traces. Luke and Clyde find a cheque signed by Mrs Wormwood. When Mr Smith scans it, there is a hidden code which offers clues to Mrs Wormwood's location. Sarah Jane and Rani go to rescue Gita, discussing the Bane and Bubble Shock on the way.

They find Gita in a trance, unresponsive, and meet up with Mrs Wormwood. The former Bane operative explains she took the blame for her species' failed attempt at invading the Earth and has been exiled from her people and world. The Bane will eat her alive if they catch her.

When the Bane attack, Mrs Wormwood uses her phonic disruptor on them. It emits sound which penetrates their ears and stops them in their tracks. The Bane grab Sarah Jane by the leg, but Mrs Wormwood saves her, attacking the Bane with a metal pole. The three head back to Bannerman Road, shocking Luke when he opens the door.

In the attic, Mr Smith does a bio-analysis on Mrs Wormwood, confirming she is Bane. Mr Smith asks if having her in the attic is a good idea. Sarah Jane asks Mr Smith to put a containment field around her if she causes trouble. Mrs Wormwood says that an ancient immortal, Horath, tried to take over the galaxy, but was defeated three thousand years ago. Unable to destroy him, Horath's captors separated his body and consciousness and placed them at opposite ends of the galaxy. Mrs Wormwood says the Bane have found Horath's consciousness, and are trying to find his body, which is, like so many other things of galactic importance, on Earth. Once united, the Bane will be able to conquer the galaxy. The only clue to the body's location is in the Tunguska Scroll, kept in UNIT's Black Archive facility, a secure storehouse of alien artefacts.

An old friend returns.

Sarah Jane visits her old friend, retired Brigadier Sir Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart, to get his help to enter the Archive. Sarah Jane and Rani obtain the Tunguska Scroll. UNIT personnel stop Sarah Jane, but she uses her sonic lipstick and escapes with Rani and the Brigadier. Meanwhile Luke talks to Mrs Wormwood. When the Bane attack the house, he releases her from the force field so that the Bane cannot catch her. She is about to escape when a Bane tries to eat her. She tries to use her phonic disruptor but being in the containment field has drained its power. At that moment, Sontaran Commander Kaagh shoots the Bane and reveals himself as her agent. She asks after the Consciousness of Horath and he replies that he has hidden it. She relishes the thought of her and Kaagh getting their long-awaited revenge on Sarah Jane and her friends.

Luke and Clyde are surrounded by Bane. Clyde picks up a hose and soaks the Bane, trying to force them back. Mrs Wormwood arrives and uses her phonic disruptor (which has been recharged by Kaagh) to blow up the Bane, leaving goo on Luke and Clyde. Sarah Jane arrives with Rani and the Brigadier. To prevent UNIT finding them, Sarah Jane, Luke, Clyde, Rani, the Brigadier and Mrs Wormwood all hide in Gita's flower shop. Mrs Wormwood asks Sarah Jane for the scroll but she refuses. Commander Kaagh arrives and grabs Sarah Jane's sonic lipstick, destroying it. He demands the scroll and threatens the youngsters. Sarah Jane gives the scroll to Mrs Wormwood. Mrs Wormwood forces Luke to go with her and Commander Kaagh.

Mrs Wormwood, Kaagh and Luke arrive at a factory where Kaagh has hidden his space pod. He places the Consciousness of Horath in the scroll. Mrs Wormwood says that Luke could be the ruler of the galaxy as her son. Luke grabs the scroll and runs. Kaagh chases him. Just as Kaagh is about to shoot Luke, Mrs Wormwood, in her Bane form, jumps in front of Kaagh and transforms back to human. She uses her phonic disruptor again.

The powers of Horath are unleashed.

Meanwhile, the others go to Sarah Jane's house to speak to Mr Smith, to try to find the whereabouts of Luke, Mrs Wormwood and Kaagh. Major Kilburne tries to stop them, revealing himself as a Bane agent. The Brigadier uses a hidden gun in his cane to stun the Major. They borrow Gita's van and go after their friends.

Mrs Wormwood, Luke and Kaagh arrive at a stone circle and find a force field around it. Only humans can enter. Mrs Wormwood forces Luke to insert the scroll. When he does, the stone circle opens. It's a portal which leads to Horath. Mrs Wormwood uses her sonic device again and Kaagh drops to the ground.

Sarah Jane arrives. Mrs Wormwood tries to convince Luke to go with her, saying she is his mother. Luke says his real mum is Sarah Jane. Clyde, meanwhile, walks over to Kaagh to check if he's hurt. Kaagh asks Clyde to help him regain his honour. Mrs Wormwood is upset but convinces herself that the best way to heal her broken heart is to kill Sarah Jane's gang. However, as she prepares to do so, Kaagh pushes her into the portal. It explodes, trapping them in another dimension, leaving Luke feeling a bit sorry for Mrs Wormwood. Sarah Jane reveals she has another sonic lipstick and destroys the scroll. She then reflects on how amazing the universe can be, as well as her own corner of it, as she bids goodbye to the Brigadier. She asserts that aliens will always visit Earth as it's a wonderful place to be.
