Voga — also known as the Planet of Gold and Neo Phobos — was a planet with an extremely high gold content. Originally located in the Voga system, the planet eventually drifted out of orbit and became a rogue planet, before being captured in the orbit of Jupiter in the Solar system.
It contained more gold than in the rest of the known galaxy, with rocks being 50% gold, sometimes even higher. (PROSE: Doctor Who and the Revenge of the Cybermen) Because of this, golden objects were not considered impressive on the planet. (PROSE: Wishing Well)

(PROSE: Jorus and the Voganauts) During the Cyber-Wars, the Vogans started supplying the gold dust which was used in the manufacturing of glitterguns. The Cybermen, whose respiratory unit innerworkings were extremely vulnerable to gold dust, tried to stop this by destroying the planet, but one emergency bunker, as well as some of the population, survived, which started drifting in space as a rogue planet. Centuries later, it was captured in Jupiter's orbit and discovered by humans (PROSE: Doctor Who and the Revenge of the Cybermen, TV: Revenge of the Cybermen) in the 29th century. To reconcile the two different versions, John Dorney's original unused ending for Return revealed that the fallout of Genesis of the Daleks and the Last Great Time War result in the Return timeline becoming redundant and being overwritten by the Revenge timeline.[1]
