Story notes

  • This story features the first time on television, viewers are shown the event of the First Doctor stealing the Tardis and escaping Gallifrey. The event had previously been seen in the comic strip adventure: Time & Time Again (comic story).
  • Despite the fact that it has been stated "Slience must fall when the question is asked", there has been no evidence of this or any development on the significance of the question. In addition, the Silence do not appear, despite trying to prevent the Doctor from answering the question in Series 6
