• January - AUDIO: Pier Pressure was first released by Big Finish Productions.
• 2 January - Parallel Lives, the sixth Big Finish Bernice Summerfield story anthology, was first released.
• 3 January - Something Changed, seventh Big Finish Bernice Summerfield story anthology, was first released.
• 5 January - DWM 365 was released.
• 10 January - The Dream was released online.
• 16 January - The interactive mini-episode NOTVALID: Attack of the Graske was made available on the BBC's Doctor Who website, after it was available exclusively on BBC Red Button.
• 30 January - The DVD box set The Beginning, which featured the first three Doctor Who stories An Unearthly Child, The Daleks and The Edge of Destruction, was released.
• February - Night Thoughts, the seventy-ninth Main Range story, was first released.
• February - AUDIO: Telos was first released.

The Cybermen Collection consisted of The Tomb of the Cybermen, The Invasion and Earthshock, while the larger Third Doctor Collection featured Spearhead from Space, Inferno, The Claws of Axos, The Three Doctors, Carnival of Monsters and The Green Death.

• 7 November - In Region 1 (North America), BBC Video redistributed the episodes of Series 1 in the same four-volume "vanilla" (no-extras) sets the company had issued in the UK in mid-2005.
