Short Trips: Indefinable Magic was the twenty-eighth Short Trips anthology published by Big Finish Productions.

Publisher's summary

An anthology of brand new Doctor Who short stories that weave a spell over the wonder that is Doctor Who.

  • A plot to kidnap Elvis Presley...
  • A woman whose horoscopes prove rather too accurate...
  • A devastating army of mythical beasts that conquers Britain...

The Doctor and his travelling companions live magical lives — but their lives are tainted by terror. Delve into bizarre, wondrous or simply horrifying worlds with the Doctor and his friends as they land on a world where everyone can fly, help a good friend trapped four centuries in the past, and face aliens that simply want to bring peace to humanity.

Notes

  • Following publication, it was announced that Big Finish no longer had the licence to publish Doctor Who fiction, and, save for Re:Collections, an anthology of previously published stories (including one from this book) published two months later, this would be the last Short Trips collection featuring new material. Since the end of 2005 and the retirement of the BBC Eighth Doctor Adventures and BBC Past Doctor Adventures ranges, the Short Trips line had been the only source for officially licenced prose fiction featuring the first eight incarnations of the Doctor until The Wheel of Ice in 2012.
