Novelisation
- This novelisation is based on the original television serial DW: Fury from the Deep which was written by Victor Pemberton and shown from 16 March 1968.
- The cover and information shown on the right is for the original Target novel. It featured the artwork of David McAlistair. (See below for information on other editions published with different covers).
Publisher's summary
In the dark uncharted depths of the North Sea it has lurked, growing in strength, growing in size, and striking terror into the hearts of mariners down the untold centuries.
Landing near a North Sea gas refinery off the east coast of England, the TARDIS crew are immediately accused of sabotage. - It was felt that Victor Pemberton’s adaptation of his televised story as a novelisation, even though it had a much higher word count, should not be cut down, and was ultimately released as a bumper volume with an increased cover price of £1.95 (UK).
