Wembley Stadium was a successive pair of stadia with an adjacent arena, located in Wembley Park in the Borough of Brent, an area of northwest London, England. Circa 996, the land was known as "Wemba's Lea". The lea (meaning meadow or clearing) belonged to the Anglo-Saxon lord Wemba. (COMIC: They Think It's All Over)

In 996, the Eleventh Doctor accidentally took Amy Pond and Rory Williams to Wemba's Lea, having intended to bring them to a football match at Wembley Stadium in 1996. (COMIC: They Think It's All Over)

In 1924 the Ninth Doctor took Rose Tyler to the British Empire Exhibition where, at the end, they saw Wembley Stadium, formally known as the Empire Stadium. (PROSE: The Clockwise Man)

The Fifth Doctor took Peri Brown to the FA Cup Final on 25 April 1936 at Wembley Stadium soon after she met the Doctor in Lanzarote. There, they watched Arsenal take on Sheffield United and the Doctor tried to educate the young American in the sport of football. (PROSE: The Church of Football)

In 1969, the Eighth Doctor, Sam Jones and Fitz Kreiner confronted the 'Revolution Man' at Wembley Stadium. (PROSE: Revolution Man)

In early November 1979, the Tenth Doctor dropped off Rose Tyler at the ABBA concert at the adjacent Wembley Arena. (GAME: Attack of the Graske)

The original stadium was demolished in 2002 and the new Wembley Stadium opened in 2007.

In 2164, Dortmun was killed by three Daleks in front of the adjacent Palace of Engineering in which Barbara Wright and Jenny were hiding. The pair commandiered a lorry from the museum, which Barbara drove through a Dalek cordon in front of the former H.M. Government Pavilion. (TV: The Dalek Invasion of Earth)
