More actions
Alcohol results from the action of yeast on sugar. The yeast convert sugar into ethanol; which, as it is inhospitable to bacteria, will retard spoilage. It has been drunk, used, seen, and even occasionally manufactured by the Doctor, companions, and others.
Adventurer archaeologist and Seventh Doctor companion Bernice Summerfield greatly appreciated alcoholic beverages.
Wine
Wine was a drink made from pressed fruit, usually some form of grape. It was commonly found on Earth.
