10 January - The Dream was released online.
16 January - The interactive mini-episode NOTVALID: Attack of the Graske was made available on the BBC's Doctor Who website, after it was available exclusively on BBC Red Button.
30 January - The DVD box set The Beginning, which featured the first three Doctor Who stories An Unearthly Child, The Daleks and The Edge of Destruction, was released.

7 November - In Region 1 (North America), BBC Video redistributed the episodes of Series 1 in the same four-volume "vanilla" (no-extras) sets the company had issued in the UK in mid-2005.
