Rumours
- Dalek Caan seeks Davros and uses him to make more Daleks so Caan is not alone.
- Davros's second in command is a Red Dalek Supreme, rumoured to be Dalek Caan upgraded or a mutated Harriet Jones.
- Donna will be shot at the end of this episode as she is leaving in 2009. Unlikely. Donna, from rumours, will lose her memory and forget about the Doctor.
- Donna is hit by a car and Rose kneels at her body.Unlikely, Rumors say Donna is hit by a car in Turn Left
- This episode broadcasts alongside The Stolen Earth as part of a double bill.
- After Doomsday Rose was slated to get her own spin-off show. Russell finally cancelled this. He said "Bringing Rose back would ruin the finality of that goodbye in Doomsday". However, now that Rose has returned, it is possible that Rose may appear in a spin-off, probably called Rose Tyler: Defending The Earth. Either this, or she crosses over to Torchwood. This would help fill the spaces left by Toshiko Sato and Owen Harper.
- The Doctor becomes trapped in the Medusa Cascade, and Rose, Donna, Martha, Jack, Mickey and Sarah Jane must try to free him.
- In a shock development the Red Dalek casing opens to reveal Harriet Jones as mother of all the new Daleks.
- sigh..the above rumer is so rubbish, i deleted it..so who evers put it back..youre stupied. no offense
- Martha joins Captain Jack at Torchwood. Possible, as reports show Martha and Mickey leaving with Jack at the end of the episode. Also it is known that as of Exit Wounds, Jack needs a medic to replace Owen Harper.
- Mickey joins Captain Jack at Torchwood. As the above, possibly to replace Toshiko Sato, as he has been known for his talents of hacking into secure govenment systems, such as in The Christmas Invasion when he hacked into the UNIT database.
- Davros is Adam Mitchell. Unlikely, given numerous reasons, such as the fact that Adam and Davros aren't even the same species and him being Davros would contradict numerous things in the pasts of both characters.
- Davros is eventually "purified" by the daleks, meaning he, beyond his own will becomes a dalek himself. Changing Davros to a Dalek himself would ruin the whole character of Davros
- Semaj Nannerb is a Dalek

Discontinuity, Plot Holes, Errors
- Davros is not encased in enlargened dalek spherical head-discontinuing The Remembrance of the Daleks trend. His Cyber-like head attire may provide a reason.
