Rumours
- This episode marks the return of Captain Jack Harkness, Martha Jones, Sarah Jane Smith and possibly K9
- The Daleks invade UNIT. In the mid series trailer some Daleks were seen with the UNIT logo behind them. There is also a character called General Sanchez who is said to work for UNIT.
- A Red Dalek will appear and has 3 ear lamps compared to 2 and extra panels and two new weapons. This has been confirmed by leaked pictures of the Dalek but the same Dalek appears on the cover of DWM 397 with a sucker cup rather than a new weapon.
- Harriet Jones is either inside a normal Dalek casing or the Red Dalek casing.
- The Eighth-Ninth Doctor Regeneration is explained.
- Gallifrey is restored. This is a possibility as it has been rumoured that RTD wants to erase all he has changed in Doctor Who, ready for when Steven Moffat takes over.
- The Sontarans return and start a war with the Daleks. Two years ago in series 2, Doomsday saw a battle between the Daleks and Cybermen. This may be a pattern.
- According to the sun news paper the Judoon come back to stop the daleks taking over the universe
- The Cult of Skaro will come with the Red Dalek as its leader. There is only one surviving member of the cult, Caan. The entire Cult are unlikely to return as 3 of them are dead. In the mid-series trailer, a scene was shown where four bronze daleks were present, defying this rumour.
- It is rumoured that Martha will defy Colonel Maces instructions and fight with the doctor instead of letting UNIT deal with it which will possiblly cause their downfall as it's shown in the trailer 3 Daleks with a UNIT sign behind them, possibly invading and taking out earths main defence(apart from the doctor).
