McDonald's was a fast food restaurant. They served Big Macs (PROSE: Face-Painter) and Happy Meals (PROSE: Border Princes).

In the 1980s, Ace worked in a McDonald's restaurant on Tottenham Court Road as a waitress. (PROSE: Head Games, Illegal Alien, Matrix) At one point she kicked out Tegan Jovanka and Diva for not ordering anything. (PROSE: The Crystal Bucephalus)

The American fast food chain arrived in the United Kingdom in 1974, thirty-four years after its emergence in its home nation, and eight years after Ben and Polly's time.

In 2017, Richard Franklin starred in a commercial advertising the McDonald's Monopoly promotion,^[1] and in 2019, Vitas Varnas starred in an ad for McDonald's Australia advertising the All Day Menu.^[2]
