Secret Code (webcast)
Secret Code was the fifth mini-episode and twenty-third story released exclusively on the BBC's Defending the Earth! website on 13 May 2006[source needed] to coincide with series two of Doctor Who, specifically the story Rise of the Cybermen. It was written by Joseph Lidster and produced by Rob Francis.[1]
The webcast featured Ricky Smith in the first part, and Mickey Smith in the second, both parts bookending the alternate reality game Cybus Spy. However, the exact narrative details are unknown, as this webcast is lost media, due to the fact that it was hosted on obselete versions of media playing software — Windows Media Player and RealPlayer — and no official or unofficial rerelease of this webcast exists. However, the BBC provided a "text message" version of the dialogue, thus providing some details about the narrative, although only for part one.
Plot
Part one

Notes
- Sharing the same issue as the alternate reality game Cybus Spy and the Millingdale tie-in website, there is no explanation as to how Ricky is able to communicate/interact with the Doctor's universe, especially considering how Rise of the Cybermen made it clear that even standard travel between universes is usually impossible.
- There is also no explanation as to when Ricky recorded his message, as the room in which he did is the same as as Mickey's flat, 90 Powell Tower.
Continuity
- Mickey Smith sends a video message to his readers. (WC: Lifeboat Museum, Torchwood House, Deffry Vale School, Tick Tock, Operation: Paris)
- Ricky Smith first appeared in TV: Rise of the Cybermen.
- GAME: Cybus Spy takes place between parts one and two of this story.
