- Dermot and the Doctor's claim that Forsyth was still alive and working by 2111 is a reference to the star's longevity. Of course, inevitably, Forsyth passed away in 2017. Forsyth's life in the 22nd century has never been contradicted in any other source.
- Dorium Maldovar Tells It Like It Is! does not make it clear whether the 52nd century-hailing Dorium is simply watching past episodes of Strictly, or if the story is taking the joke about Forsyth's longevity to an even greater extreme.
