Benny's Story was the first story in the audio anthology, The Company of Friends, which comprised the one hundred and twenty-third release in Big Finish's monthly range. It was written by Lance Parkin and featured Paul McGann as the Eighth Doctor and Lisa Bowerman as Bernice Summerfield.

It was notable for being the first performed pairing of the two characters. They had already appeared together in the novel The Dying Days, also by writer Lance Parkin.

Notes[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • This story was recorded on 30 and 31 October 2008 at The Moat Studios.
  • The story includes dialogue which implies that the Doctor and Benny had a sexual encounter during the events of the novel The Dying Days, further fuelling a fan debate over what actually happened dating back to the novel's publication in 1997.
