Introduction[[edit] | [edit source]]
Howdy, I'm EnyapCo, and welcome to my profile. I enjoy the Doctor Who franchise and most media that comes out of it.
I own the full run of DVDs, including spin-offs like The Sarah Jane Adventures and Class, and more obscure releases like TV: Daleks' Invasion Earth 2150 A.D. and HOMEVID: Downtime. I've also been getting into the Blu-rays lately (because of the new VAM), which is a dangerous game to play, but at least there aren't as many to buy. Because of all this, I edit the Doctor Who DVD Special Features Wiki.
My great pilgrimage[[edit] | [edit source]]
I'm currently taking what I call "the long way round" by making my way through every story I possibly can in narrative order, including TV stories, films, webcasts, audios, novels, short stories, poems, comics, and even a few games.
For example, rather than beginning with TV: An Unearthly Child, I instead started with all the pre-Season 1 stories, including AUDIO: The Beginning, PROSE: Bide-a-Wee, and PROSE: Time and Relative.
I love a good spreadsheet, so I've been working on this since July 2019. I'm just about to make it to Season 23, so I still have a ways to go. 60 years of history makes for a lot of continuity.
Here's a few lists I used to compile the total continuity:
- Clive Banks Episode Guide - [1]
- doesn't include comics or anything tied to them (such as Izzy's Story or Countdown to TV Action), with a few exceptions
- Eyespider Complete Adventures - [2]
- Doctor Who Reference Guide - [3]
- last updated in 2013
All these guides compile narrative continuity only from the Doctor's perspective, so for any stories featuring only companions (such as PROSE: Turlough and the Earthlink Dilemma, god-awful as it is) or villains (like AUDIO: Master Thief), I made the decision where they best fit in.
Free Doctor Who[[edit] | [edit source]]
When I started, I was always wanting to try new series but wasn't sure I would enjoy them, so I was always on the lookout for free stories available. Here are some places where you can legally find stories for free:
- YouTube - The official Doctor Who and BBC Youtube channels have made a number of webcasts, prequels, and mini-episodes available.
