Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

In the cinema introduction to The Day of the Doctor, the Eleventh Doctor claimed that "all 57 Doctors" would appear in the 100th anniversary special of Doctor Who in 2063.

According to Steven Moffat in 2017, Russell T Davies had a tendency to use 57 when he exaggerated a number, which lines up with the mentions of ageing in Boom Town and a large number of academics celebrating in The Shakespeare Code, both from Davies' first era as executive producer. Moffat numbered Floor 0507 as a tribute to Davies.[1]
