Aldo Rega
Aldo Rega was an Omnian resistance fighter and the son of Magister Carmen Rega, the emissary of the Dalek "Masters" of the planet Omnia. After his mother negotiated a surrender to the invading Daleks in the hopes of sparing Omnia's people from extermination and became their agent, Aldo had himself re-designated as a low-class work unit. He lived in Omnia's Undercity and spent his time trying to find the elusive Omnian resistance groups. Although he openly defied the rule of the Daleks, Aldo's mother attempted to protect him and avoid punishing him for his crimes.
Eventually, Aldo stole a key terminal and used it to access the site of the Battle of Destiny, where he found the remains of a dead Dalek. This discovery gave him rejuvinated hope that the Daleks could be killed and he believed showing other Omnians the proof would inspire a rebellion. Aldo found his friends Kalib and Shayna and planned to tell them about his discovery. As he did, the Doctor's sixth incarnation and his companion Peri Brown, appeared and warned them that Watchers of the Law were nearby. The Doctor had just arrived on the planet and overheard the conversation between the three Omnians. Aldo brought all four to the site of the Battle of Destiny and showed them what he had found.
When the Doctor realised the Daleks ruled over Omnia, he became determined to free the planet. With Aldo's help, and eventually the help of his mother, the Dalek forces were driven from Omnia and its people were freed. (AUDIO: Emissary of the Daleks)
