An incarnation of the Doctor was one of the possibilities for the titular role in Doctor Who: The Movie, the Eighth Doctor, along with several other candidates, with a bewildered Seventh Doctor watching the assembly of his possible regenerations from a distance. This particular Doctor carried a gun and introduced himself by saying "The name's Who - Doctor Who!". (COMIC: Doctor Who? 138)

This Doctor references James Bond by the way in which he introduces himself and because of the fact he carries a firearm in spite of the Doctor's moral code normally forbidding the use of weapons.
