Notes
- Rory spends a lot of this story in monologue to a statue of Amy Pond he has had constructed. He considers two possibilities for why he had never heard of his own reign in the history books. Firstly, he considers that he is in an alternate timeline; secondly, that the Romans were embarrassed to have been ruled by a woman and a former gladiator, and so wiped them from history.
Continuity
- Rory has become emperor of Rome following the death of Augusta. (AUDIO: The Unwilling Assassin)
- Rory wishes he had taken an interest in Roman history like Amy did. (TV: The Pandorica Opens)
- Rory is glad to have missed the Great Fire of Rome (TV: The Romans) and the eruption of Vesuvius. (AUDIO: The Fires of Vulcan, TV: The Fires of Pompeii)
- Rory mentions the duck pond without any ducks. (TV: The Eleventh Hour)
- Rory wonders about having children with Amy, (TV: The Big Bang, A Good Man Goes to War) or even adopting. (WC: P.S., Rory's Story)
- Many comments are made regarding Amy's long legs. (TV: The Impossible Astronaut, Deep Breath, HOMEVID: Clara and the TARDIS)
