- Writer Kevin Burnard released a public statement discussing how despite the story incorporating the reader into the narrative it took the format and applied it in universe much like the audio Flip-Flop. He said “It is absolutely intended in my view to take place within the same Doctor Who universe as any other Faction material. The contradictory plot is a product of and contained within the bubbled reality of the Faction Paradox prison cell in the Boulevard”. [1][2]
