Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

In the real world, Michael Grade was responsible for placing Doctor Who on hiatus in 1985, prior to its eventual cancellation in 1989 - however, in the DWU, there is no reference to Grade being involved; the short story Contributors posits that the cancellation of Doctor Who in 1989 was caused by Jay Eales's "fiendish" editing to the anthology Walking in Eternity in the year 2000.
