I, Rorius was the third and final story of the audio anthology, The Lone Centurion: Volume One, produced by Big Finish Productions. It was written by Jacqueline Rayner and featured Arthur Darvill as Rory Williams.

Publisher's summary[[edit] | [edit source]]

Drowning in a sea of plots and conspiracies, Rory just wants his life back. But in Ancient Rome, people don't retire, they die. And that's a bit difficult when you're immortal.

Notes[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • Rory spends a lot of this story in monologue to a statue of Amy Pond he has had constructed. He considers two possibilities for why he had never heard of his own reign in the history books. Firstly, he considers that he is in an alternate timeline; secondly, that the Romans were embarrassed to have been ruled by a woman and a former gladiator, and so wiped them from history.
