On 14 February, the San Francisco Chronicle reported that Revolution Man's symbol had appeared on both towers of the Golden Gate Bridge. (PROSE: Revolution Man [+]Loading...["Revolution Man (novel)"])

On 21 February, the Sixth Doctor left Henry Gordon Jago and Professor George Litefoot in the Red Tavern in London, mistakenly believing that it was the 1890s. (AUDIO: Voyage to the New World [+]Loading...["Voyage to the New World (audio story)"])

On 29 February, the Third Doctor invited Gerry Billing to a meeting at the future UNIT HQ. Gerry came with his mother Claire, and after hearing Gerry's story of how he had encountered the First Doctor in 1963, the Doctor deduced Gerry had developed a psychic link with the TARDIS and, through it, him. The Doctor broke Gerry's link with the ship, and arranged for the Billings to move to Shoreditch, having Ian Chesterton meet Gerry and Claire there just after the Doctor had left. On 15 March, La Stampa reported the Revolution Man's symbol had appeared on the floor of St Peter's Cathedral. Pope Paul VI claimed that this was "the most serious of crimes."

On 28 April, the Revolution Man's symbol appeared in the Red Square. In response to this, Leonid Brezhnev said that the "forces of imperialist and capitalist aggression" would be punished for their "provocative action" against the "heroic Soviet people".

On 29 April, the Pravda reported about the Red Square's vandalism.

According to one account, (PROSE: Revolution Man [+]Loading...["Revolution Man (novel)"]) the Great Intelligence invaded London sometime before June. It took over most of the London Underground with a deadly web and began spreading upwards into the streets. The city was evacuated and the military were sent into the Underground to stop the web at its source. The Second Doctor, Jamie McCrimmon, and Victoria Waterfield were brought to Earth by the Intelligence. On 5 June, the Eighth Doctor and Sam Jones came to England and met up with Jean-Pierre Rex. After their visit, Rex was psychically attacked by Ed Hill and decapitated and drowned in a pond. Hill then took Rex's place as the Revolution Man.

Also on 5 June, the Chinese army came to Tibet to steal the psychic drug Om-Tsor from a group of monks. Fitz Kreiner and Madeline Burton were with the Monks the time of the attack. Madeline managed to escape with the help of the Eighth Doctor, but Fitz was taken by the Chinese. For the rest of the year, Fitz was brainwashed into becoming loyal to the Chinese. July - December

On 1 July, the Times of India reported that the Indian government had accused China of a deliberate attack on Indian territory. The Indian army was mobilised along in the provinces of Assam and Bengal. (PROSE: Revolution Man [+]Loading...["Revolution Man (novel)"])

On 18 July, Lucia Moretti, a lover of Jack Harkness and the eventual mother of his daughter, began her work as a Torchwood agent. (TV: Children of Earth: Day Three [+]Loading...["Children of Earth: Day Three (TV story)"])

In early August, the Great Mother came to London with Sanjaya Starr to impregnate people with her eggs. The children of the great mother secreted mind-altering hormones which the Great Mother used to make cooks put her eggs into their food. She decided to impregnate Henry Gordon Jago with the next Great Mother. Jago was almost eaten from the inside by the next Great Mother, but George Litefoot made Jago drink a medicine that killed the new Great Mother. Litefoot then did the same thing for the rest of the Great Mother's victims.

On 11 November, Ed Hill used his powers to destroy US aircraft carrier Constitution. He then carved the Revolution Man symbol on the broken metal of the ship.
