The Second Doctor drank wine to test the Dalek-programmed Arthur Terrall. He had noticed the man never ate nor drank but was full of electrical energy. Ironically, the household staff had been told he and Jamie had had too much of a "party" to explain their condition when kidnapped by Edward Waterfield. (TV: The Evil of the Daleks)
When the Second Doctor was forcibly augmented into a part-Androgum creation, before his body could throw off the alien DNA, he helped his "donor" Androgum Shockeye drink twelve bottles of wine. (TV: The Two Doctors)
