Tardisode 3 was the third of the Tardisode series of mini-episode prologues to Doctor Who series 2. This Tardisode was a prelude to the episode School Reunion.

Plot[[edit] | [edit source]]

Mickey is at a computer, in an internet café, looking at a website of UFO sightings, but is blocked by a notice referring to Torchwood. He picks up his phone and calls Rose while sorting through newspaper clippings. He tells her that he needs the Doctor and her to investigate lights in the sky and strange goings on at a school. The Tardisode ends with a shot of a Krillitane screaming into the camera.

Crew[[edit] | [edit source]]

Worldbuilding[[edit] | [edit source]]

Production notes[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • Unlike most other Tardisodes, the main episode makes dialogue reference to the events of the prequel.
  • Noel Clarke was the only regular cast member to appear in the Tardisodes. He also appears as Ricky Smith in Tardisode 5.
  • The same set is used in the main episode. Mickey sits at the same computer trying to find more information on the UFO sightings. In this sequence, and the entire Tardisode, production clips showed that Noel Clarke, who plays Mickey, was filming this some time after production of the episode itself and had recently cut his hair very short (as per his appearance in Rise of the Cybermen / The Age of Steel and Doomsday, which were filmed in a separate production block). Therefore, to maintain continuity, he wore the hat seen in this mini-episode.
  • This webisode contains the third reference to Torchwood, and the first since its origins were established in the television story Tooth and Claw. The notion of Torchwood blocking access to information is revisited in later episodes (such as The Runaway Bride).
