Luckily, when the Giant Wasps arrive, they instinctively attack the first thing they see... the Quarks! The Wasps are all eliminated, but this gives the Doctor and Jamie time to flee back to the TARDIS. The Quarks swear to develop a more deadly weapon against their foes...

*In [[Captain Jack's Monster Files]] it is suggested the Giant Wasps may be [[Vespiform]]s. This story takes place after the Vespiforms already exist, but it's possible the Quarks have used Giant Wasps before - they ''do'' use them again ([[MA]]: ''[[Millennial Rites]]''), after all.

The Killer Wasps was a TV Comic story featuring the Second Doctor and Jamie McCrimmon.

The Quarks create Giant Wasps to attack the Second Doctor and Jamie on the devastated planet of Gano. Jamie and the Doctor, barely able to fight them off, flee into a hidden underground city... where the Quarks await them!
