- Though in Fitz Kreiner is called "Fritz" throughout this story, its author, Stephen Cole, was the range editor of the BBC Eighth Doctor Adventures at the time Fitz was introduced, and he wrote Fitz's debut story, The Taint, under the pseudonoym Michael Collier.
