Rumours
- The greatest myth I conclude is to whether David Tennant is, or is not returning for Episode 13, and if not the 2009 Specials. However it would be difficult to justify the 2009 Specials occuring without David doing Hamlet, therefore it is justifiable, for the moment to presume that The Doctor's regeneration becomes interrupted or stops.
- It has been hinted that Donna Noble is, in fact a Time Lady or the woman who picked up the Master's ring. This would also substantiate the rumours that Donna dies at the end of this episode as she is apparently not returning for the 2009 Specials. During the episode, when the subframe network contacts The children of Time, the four-beat used in the archangel network is heard. Also, when Donna sits on the stairs at the Shadow Proclomation, a two-beat drum sound is heard. This could be evidence for the fact that Donna picked up the Master's ring and is being used by him.
- Captain Jack Harkness saves The Doctor from his own regeneration, by taking the energy from The Doctor and transferring it into himself, thus the physical regeneration of The Doctor would be aborted.
- The Hand in a Jar takes the brunt of the regeneration and the Doctor does not regenerate but is healed from being shot by the Dalek
- Because of the 1-second delay caused by the Medusa Cascade, the regeneration reverts upon itself and therefore does not occur.
