Novelisation
- This novelisation is based on the original television serial (DW: Silver Nemesis) written by Kevin Clarke and shown from 23 November to 7 December 1988.

Launched into space 350 years ago, a meteor is returning to Earth – and inside it waits Nemesis, a silver statue made of the living metal validium, the most dangerous substance in the Universe.

Deviations from televised story
The crash of the Nemesis comet and the battle between the Cybermen and De Flores's men occurs on a housing estate construction site rather than wasteground.
Writing and publishing notes
- The swastika symbol was far more visable in Alister Pearson's original cover design before being scalled down and given less prominance in the final cover.
