On 10 November 1913, the Family of Blood's ship arrived in Farringham, England. Jeremy Baines, a student at the Farringham School for Boys, witnessed the ship land in Blackdown Woods. He was captured by the Family, and his body was possessed by Son of Mine. (TV: Human Nature)
In 1887, American gunfighter Doc Holliday died, but not before giving Ned Buntline a detailed account of an aspect of the gunfight at the O.K. Corral on 26 October 1881 which was not generally recorded in the history books, involving another Doctor. (PROSE: The Gunfighters)
In 1963, the Sixth Doctor and Peri Brown arrived at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. Astronaut Marinka Talanov was due to enter the Moon's orbit in Vostok 7, but, due to complications, she instead appeared to get a form of amnesia. The Doctor recommended that they bring her back to Earth at once, which would take around four days. When Vostok 7 returned, it was discovered that Talanov had been replaced by the dog Laika, who had been given an artificial larynx and a brain augmentation that made her sentient.
