You are the Absurd Hero was the sixth story in the Faction Paradox anthology The Boulevard: Volume One.

It was writer Kevin Burnard's first contribution to the Faction Paradox series.

Despite the story incorporating the reader into the narrative it took the format and incorporated in universe much like the audio Flip-Flop. Writer Burnard said “It is absolutely intended in my view to take place within the same Doctor Who universe as any other Faction material. The contradictory plot is a product of and contained within the bubbled reality of the Faction Paradox prison cell in the Boulevard”. [1]
