He was the grandfather of Tegan Jovanka (TV: The Awakening [+]Loading...["The Awakening (TV story)"]) and, by extension, her brothers. Behind the scenes
Although Tegan refers to Verney as her grandfather, Divided Loyalties [+]Loading...["Divided Loyalties (novel)"] indicates that he is Vanessa and Joy's uncle and thus her great-uncle.
