Anne was the first Queen of the United Kingdom of England and Scotland, and the last of the Stuarts. Princess Anne succeeded William of Orange who died on 8 March 1702 (AUDIO: Phantasmagoria [+]Loading...["Phantasmagoria (audio story)"]) and ruled from his death until 1714. In Phantasmagoria, Jasper Jeake identifies Anne as "old King James' niece". In the real world, Anne was the daughter of James II and the niece of Charles II.
Anne was played by Elizabeth Spriggs in the 2004 BBC docudrama Wren: The Man Who Built Britain and Olivia Colman in the 2018 film The Favourite.
