The Twilight Kingdom was the fifty-fifth monthly Doctor Who audio story produced by Big Finish Productions. This is writer Will Shindler's first audio story and first contribution to Doctor Who.

The Doctor

The Doctor is over a thousand years old.

Individuals

C'rizz tells Sub-Commander Quillian that he does not usually sleep in a bed.
When she was a child, Charley's grandmother used to bring her and her sisters to an artist to have their portraits painted once a year.

Diseases and illnesses

Kestila sickness is ultimately fatal. Early symptoms include fever, vomiting and sores. It was previously believed to have been eliminated centuries earlier.

Species

The Doctor sarcastically claims that complaining is a defect in humans.
Grelligs resemble rats and were brought to Setarus by Koth.
The Eutermesans are unknown to the Ondrokkons.
The Eutermesans have a saying: "Everything changes but nothing's truly lost."

Planets

Ondrokkon has six major continents which are policed by a global defence fleet.

Notes

Michael Keating (Major Koth) previously played Goudry in TV: The Sun Makers and would later play Inspector Chardalot in AUDIO: Year of the Pig. He is best known for his role as Vila Restal in Blake's 7.
This audio drama was recorded on 14 and 15 May 2003 at The Moat Studios.
