138b Pentre Road
138b Pentre Road (TV: Children of Earth: Day Two [+]Loading...["Children of Earth: Day Two (TV story)"]) was a flat in Riverside, Cardiff at which Gwen Cooper and Rhys Williams lived together. The flat was on the first floor of a converted house. (PROSE: Slow Decay) The flat below was owned by Betty Prudom. (PROSE: Bay of the Dead)
Their flat consisted of a kitchen, a bedroom, a living room and a bathroom. They had a computer in the flat as well. (TV: Everything Changes [+]Loading...["Everything Changes (TV story)"], etc.) Pictures of the two were put up throughout the flat. (TV: Adam) The pair ultimately abandoned the flat when hunted down by the British government because of their potential association with the 456 incident. Emma-Louise Cowell temporarily lived at the flat after travelling through the Cardiff Space-Time Rift from 1953 to the 2000s,[nb 1] at the invitation of Gwen. She left for London after finding a job as a shop assistant. (TV: Out of Time [+]Loading...["Out of Time (TV story)"])
The walk from Gwen's flat to the Torchwood Hub was a distance of two miles, which usually took just under half an hour. (PROSE: Another Life)
Footnotes[[edit] | [edit source]]
- ↑ Episodes 1-10 of the first series of Torchwood are set anywhere from 2006-2009 as a result of conflicting evidence shown in the episodes Ghost Machine, Greeks Bearing Gifts, Random Shoes, To the Last Man, Reset, Adrift, Fragments, Exit Wounds, and The New World. As episode 10, Out of Time, is set at the end of December, this means that episodes 11-13 are almost certainly set the year after episodes 1-10.
