Mary Stuart, also known as Mary, Queen of Scots, was a Queen of Scotland.

Iris Wildthyme claimed to have met Mary, Queen of Scots in Edinburgh while travelling with the Fourth Doctor and Sarah Jane Smith, during which she saved the Doctor's life. After Mary was imprisoned but before sentence was carried out, her son James had the opportunity to see his mother, but never visited, as he did not forgive her for abandoning him. In 1587, Philip II responded by building up his armada for an invasion of England, with a promised reward from the Pope for doing so. In the far future, the creators of EarthWorld confused her with Marie Antoinette, proclaiming the latter to be Queen of Scotland. An android replica of Mary was built and executed, despite its pleas for mercy. Mary Stuart was involved in Missy's plan to befriend several Tudor women in an effort to prevent the reign of James I, who created the charter for St Luke's University, thereby preventing her imprisonment in the Vault.
