(PROSE: Girl Power! [+]Loading...["Girl Power! (short story)"]) Earlier, in 1562, Elizabeth confessed to the Tenth Doctor to a blasé attitude to condemning people to decapitation, light-heartedly joking that "it was usually her who [took people's head off]". After Mary was imprisoned but before sentence was carried out, her son James had the opportunity to see his mother, but never visited, as he did not forgive her for abandoning him. After her death, James was raised by regents, and he later redirected his anger toward his mother into witch hunts. (TV: The Witchfinders [+]Loading...["The Witchfinders (TV story)"])

Legacy[[edit] | [edit source]]
In 1587, Philip II responded by building up his armada for an invasion of England, with a promised reward from the Pope for doing so. (AUDIO: The Flames of Cadiz [+]Loading...["The Flames of Cadiz (audio story)"]) According to a National Portrait Gallery poster in a Coal Hill Academy history classroom, Mary was remembered not only a Scottish ruler, but as a Catholic martyr and a talented golfer. In the far future, the creators of EarthWorld confused her with Marie Antoinette, proclaiming the latter to be Queen of Scotland. An android replica of Mary was built and executed, despite its pleas for mercy. The Eighth Doctor corrected them and told them that Mary died with dignity and it took more than one blow to sever her head. (PROSE: EarthWorld [+]Loading...["EarthWorld (novel)"])
Undated events[[edit] | [edit source]]
The Doctor once advised Mary, Queen of Scots to change her muckspreader. (PROSE: Tragedy Day [+]Loading...["Tragedy Day (novel)"])
Mary Stuart was involved in Missy's plan to befriend several Tudor women in an effort to prevent the reign of James I, who created the charter for St Luke's University, thereby preventing her imprisonment in the Vault. Uncovering Missy's scheme, the Twelfth Doctor suggested, amongst other methods, that she intended for James' mother to get rid of Darnley before they "did the dirty". (PROSE: Girl Power! [+]Loading...["Girl Power! (short story)"])
The Ninth Doctor claimed to have once had afternoon tea with Mary. He described taking the last slice of Dundee cake from her and only found out upon nearly having his finger cut off that it was her favourite type. (AUDIO: Girl, Deconstructed [+]Loading...["Girl, Deconstructed (audio story)"])
