• January - The Ghost Monument and Rosa, were filmed in South Africa. The Doctor Who crew worked with Out of Africa, a local production company, while shooting there.
• 4–5 January - Big Finish's audio anthology Ravenous 1 was recorded the Moat Studios.
• 4 January - Big Finish's audio anthology The Tenth Doctor Chronicles was recorded.
• 8, 10 and 15 January - The Big Finish audio story Purgatory 12 was recorded at the Moat Studios and Audio Sorcery.
• Production - Big Finish's Torchwood audio story Instant Karma took place at the Soundhouse.
• 16-17 January - The Big Finish audio story Iron Bright was recorded at the Moat Studios.
• 18–19 January - The Big Finish audio story The Dalek Occupation of Winter took place at the Moat Studios.
• 22-23 January - The Big Finish audio story An Ideal World was recorded at the Moat Studios.
• 22 January - Big Finish's Torchwood audio story Night of the Fendahl was recorded at Bang Post Production.

• March - Doctor Who merchandise and spin-off material began consistently using the new Doctor Who logo designed for series 11. This even replaced the 1996 logo on ongoing "classic series" releases.
