Constantine, also called Constantine Augustus, was an emperor of Rome.

Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]

In 312, Constantine was at war with Emperor Maxentius over the right to claim the title of sole emperor of Rome. Constantine won the battle when Maxentius was drowned in the Tiber by Entity possessed Cybermen. He intended to face the Cybermen with his army, but was talked out of it by the Eleventh Doctor and Alice Obiefune. Later, he saw what he believed to be the face of the Christian God in the sky, but in reality, it was the Doctor speaking through the illusion of the Entity. (COMIC: Conversion)

By 325, Constantine was still the emperor during the Council of Nicaea. On that occasion, he encountered the Fifth Doctor. (AUDIO: The Council of Nicaea)

Other timelines[[edit] | [edit source]]

Emperor Constantine was a major historical figure in several of the Romas, timelines where the Roman Empire never fell.

In Roma I, Constantine led the Roman armies to conquer Arabia and plague-ridden Parthia. An arch was named after him. His grandson was Julius Alexander.

In Roma LVIII, Christ favoured Constantine in battle, and the Roman Empire converted to Christianity. In Roma CI, he was instead avoured by Mithras, and the empire converted to Mithraism. (PROSE: Warlords of Utopia)
