The Cyber Empire was a TV Comic story featuring the Second Doctor, John and Gillian.
Summary
The Doctor, John and Gillian discover the Cybermen are using captured humans in a bid to build a new city for their controller.

Notes
- To disguise himself and his grandchildren as they pilot the stolen Cyber-Hover-Craft, the Doctor applies black paint to the cockpit, the travellers counting that they will appear to be high-ranking officers. Revenge of the Cybermen would introduce the Cyber-Leader, a type of high-ranking Cyberman distinguished by black side handles.
- This story features an early use by the Cybermen of the word "excellent". Though the Cybermen were frequently use the word in the later years of the classic series beginning with Revenge of the Cybermen, the word was used once before by a Cyberman in The Moonbase.
