Blood of the Robots,[1] also known as Rise of the Robots,[2] was to be the second story featuring Richard E Grant as the voice of the alternative Ninth Doctor following Scream of the Shalka. It was written by Simon Clark and was to be directed by John Ainsworth. However, the story and the series was cancelled in deference to the Russell T Davies televised revival of Doctor Who. The detailed outline was later published in the Scream of the Shalka reference book in the The Black Archive series.
