Koschei was an unproduced BBV Productions Doctor Who spin-off audio series.
It was to star Anthony Ainley as Koschei, a young, pre-The Dark Path version of the Master. The pre-corruption Koschei would have been characterised as an investigator of strange phenomena, in a style similar to Sapphire and Steel or The Omega Factor. However, Ainley died while David A. McIntee was still working on the synopsis for what would have been the first story in the series, scuppering the plans. (REF: Downtime – The Lost Years of Doctor Who)
