The Spectacular Afterlife of Bernice Summerfield was an unproduced Bernice Summerfield novel pitched by Lawrence Miles to Virgin Books' New Adventures line. It would have been set thirty years in the series' future and featured Bernice Summerfield's offspring,[1] including a son named Escape Summerfield. The pitch never got past a one-page proposal.[2]
