Deadline was an unproduced Torchwood television story written by Phil Ford. The story was intended as an episode in series 2, before being replaced by Something Borrowed [+]Loading...["Something Borrowed (TV story)"], another story pitched by Ford. The episode would have followed a Torchwood investigation into a wave of suicides in Cardiff. The episode was put on hold as Ford was asked to take over writing the series 2 finale of the Sarah Jane Adventures, Enemy of the Bane [+]Loading...["Enemy of the Bane (TV story)"]. Over time, the Torchwood story arc had been revised to a point that Deadline no longer fit, particularly with the change of Owen Harper's death, and was scrapped as a result. The story was later adapted into an audio, with several significant changes from the original plot. It was featured on "The Lost Episodes" article of TM 24.[1]
