Ends was an unproduced Doctor Who novel pitched by Lawrence Miles to the BBC Eighth Doctor Adventures. It would have been a sequel to Alien Bodies, but it was rejected by editor Stephen Cole because "it was too cosmic and gave too much away", a judgment with which Miles came to agree. The Wages of Sin was commissioned in its stead.[1]
