The Interplanetarian was the second nested story in the audio anthology, 1001 Nights, which comprised the one hundred and sixty-eighth release in Big Finish's monthly range. It was written by Jonathan Barnes and featured Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor and Sarah Sutton as Nyssa.
This story was the second of three nested stories in this anthology, taking place during part two of the anthology and nested within the framing device 1001 Nights.
