Legends of Earth was an ultimately-cancelled BBC Books Doctor Who anthology. Edited by Emil Fortune, its premise was to reach out to writers from beyond the United Kingdom to create stories based on their local folklore.

Mooted entries in the anthology included two tales rooted in Irish folklore, pitched in the summer of 2020 by S. Brennan. One featuring the Sixth Doctor and St. Bridget of Kildare, while the other would have seen the Second Doctor encountering Fionn mac Cumhaill. The first was initially pitched as featuring Evelyn Smythe as the Doctor's companion, though Brennan was subsequently informed that only TV companions would be acceptable for the project. Regardless, development on the book was ultimately halted, apparently due to poor sales of other BBC Books Doctor Who projects around that time.[1]
