The Twilight Kingdom was the fifty-fifth monthly Doctor Who audio story produced by Big Finish Productions. This is writer Will Shindler's first audio story and first contribution to Doctor Who.

- C'rizz tells Sub-Commander Quillian that he does not usually sleep in a bed.
- When she was a child, Charley's grandmother used to bring her and her sisters to an artist to have their portraits painted once a year.
- Some of the things that are in Charley's mind are England and plum pudding.
Diseases and illnesses
- Kestila sickness is ultimately fatal. Early symptoms include fever, vomiting and sores. It was previously believed to have been eliminated centuries earlier.
Species
- The Doctor sarcastically claims that complaining is a defect in humans.
- Grelligs resemble rats and were brought to Setarus by Koth.
- The Eutermesans are unknown to the Ondrockans.
- The Eutermesans have a saying: "Everything changes but nothing's truly lost."
Planets
- Ondrokkon has six major continents which are policed by a global defence fleet.
