But eternal enemies the ginger-haired Ri and the coot-bald Ir are plotting to turn their Festival truce to their own advantage. - Ace compares being surrounded by torch-bearing natives to the fate of Frankenstein's monster in the novel Frankenstein. During his eighth incarnation, the Doctor would later meet the novel's author Mary Shelley at the Villa Diodati near Lake Geneva in Switzerland in June 1816.
